Sub-processors
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This is the complete list of suppliers that may handle personal data on our behalf. It is the list referred to by our Data Processing Agreement and our Privacy Policy, kept on one page so that there is a single place to check rather than a clause to extract from a contract.
The list is short on purpose. Every supplier here is bound to process data only on our instructions, and each is held to obligations equivalent to the ones we owe you.
Running the service
| Supplier | What they handle | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Hosting | The servers the application runs on, and its server logs. All processing of your data happens here unless this list says otherwise. | United Kingdom (London) |
| Turso Database | The database. All account, organization and service data. | Ireland (EU) |
| 123-reg Website | Hosting for our public marketing website. It holds no account or service data. | United Kingdom |
Payments
| Supplier | What they handle | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe Payments | Taking payment and holding the payment method. Card details go directly to Stripe and never reach us; we receive the result, the last four digits and Stripe's reference. Stripe also calculates the tax shown on your invoice. | Ireland (EU) and United States |
Messages we send for you
| Supplier | What they handle | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES) Sends our email | Sending outbound email: alerts, sign-in codes, signing requests, ticket replies, booking confirmations and billing notices. They receive the recipient's address and the content of the message. | United Kingdom (London) |
| Resend Email standby | Sends the same email only while Amazon SES is failing, so an outage at one supplier does not stop an alert reaching you. Nothing is routed here while the primary is healthy. | Ireland (EU) and United States |
| TextMagic Sends text messages | Text messages: the code that confirms a phone number you add, and the outage alerts you ask for by text. They receive the phone number and the message. | United Kingdom and EU |
| Microsoft Our mailboxes | Our own mailboxes, which receive the messages you send to us and deliver mail between our own addresses. Mail you send to contact@walterssentinel.com is held here. | United Kingdom and EU |
| Titan Mail (Hostinger) Mailbox standby | A standby mailbox host for the same addresses, which the service can be switched to if the primary is unavailable. | EU |
Not sub-processors, but worth saying
To perform the checks you ask for, we send the domain names and server addresses you have told us to check to public DNS resolvers and to email blocklist operators. Those are public lookups about infrastructure rather than about people, and they receive nothing about you or your account. We also fetch UK bank holiday dates from GOV.UK, which involves sending nothing at all.
We use no advertising networks, no analytics suppliers and no customer data platforms. Nothing on this list is paid for in data, and no supplier here may use your data for their own purposes.
Where data leaves the UK
Suppliers above marked EU or United States may process data outside the UK. Each such transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses, by the Standard Contractual Clauses themselves, or by an adequacy decision, depending on the supplier and the country. The core of the service - the servers it runs on and the email that leaves it - is in London.
How you find out before this changes
Adding a supplier that will handle personal data is a change you are entitled to know about beforehand, not afterwards. So:
- We will email the account owner at least 30 days before a new sub-processor starts handling personal data, saying who they are, what they will handle and where.
- Within those 30 days you may object on reasonable data-protection grounds. Write to contact@walterssentinel.com and we will either find another way to provide the service or, if we cannot, let you cancel the affected service and refund anything you have paid for time you will not get.
- Replacing a supplier with another that does the same job gets the same notice. Removing one does not need it.
- If a supplier fails and we have to move urgently to keep the service running, we will tell you as soon as we have done it rather than wait, and say why notice was not possible. That is the only case where notice comes afterwards.
The date at the top of this page changes whenever this list does.
